General
Introduction
Supported by the ASIA-INVEST Programme of the
European Commission,CASE aims
to establish a sound basis for a long-term business co-operation between
European and Chinese camping communities and to promote European camping
related technologies and standards in China. CASE has 10 target groups,
including various camping equipment and service providers, and camping
travel organisers. The major activities of CASE include:

Analysing overall
Chinese needs and requirements for providing sustainable camping
services;

Establishing and
operating EU-China Camping Forum;

Organising two
matchmaking seminars: Dec 2006 in Europe and Oct 2007 in Beijing;
-
Organising capacity
building and training course;
-
Advising model planning
of Olympic camping services in Beijing;
-
Disseminating CASE
information and results through a dedicated project website, project
brochures, newsletters, participation in various national and
international events;
-
Developing the strategy
for exploiting CASE results in other cities of China.

Starting on
15 March 2006, CASE has a duration of 24 months.
